Pherson Associates' services cover the full range of analytic activities, including building models, frameworks, and processes; collecting and arraying critical data; developing and applying analytic tools and techniques; honing writing and briefing skills; publishing books and pamphlets; and maximizing the analytic power of the individual, the group, and the organization. The principal officers, senior consultants, and almost all instructors hold Top Secret security clearances.

Planning and Analysis. Pherson Associates principals have successfully managed a variety of challenging problems and issues within the U.S. Government, advising on strategic planning, program development, budget justification, and cross-organizational collaboration for DHS, NGA, the Army Science Board, Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Collection (ADCI/C), Office of the Director for National Intelligence (ODNI), and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

Analytic Tools and Techniques. Pherson Associates is developing several simple, but elegant, web-based tools that will enhance an analyst's critical thinking skills. Building on the experience gathered over many years from teaching analytic tools and techniques to IC analysts, Pherson Associates has developed a toolbox of computer-assisted analytic tools and techniques that will allow analysts to generate multiple hypotheses, validate scenario indicators, asses coup vulnerability, conduct a "pre-mortem" of one's analysis, and use the Analysis of Competing Hypotheses in a collaborative, web-based environment. Report writing and editing. Pherson Associates draws from a cadre of highly regarded former Intelligence Community analysts and managers who have well-honed writing and editing skills. They also bring years of experience working on such regions as the Middle East and South Asia, Russia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America and possess functional expertise in political analysis, economics, analytic methodologies, and information systems.

Security research and risk analysis. Pherson Associates principals and consultants have pioneered security analysis and risk management methodologies for the past decade. Expertise ranges across the security disciplines, including personnel, physical, and technical applications.
